Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that we are smoothly taking data
since yesterday with the 30Si@70MeV + 12C reaction.

We are using a complete AGATA system composed of :

- 1 triple-cluster (ATC1)
- 3 digitizers
- 6 ATCA carrier boards
- 21 processing mezzanines
- 5 GTS mezzanines
- 1 AXIS power supply
- 1 autofill system
- 1 run control with Cracow GUI and Vigru
- 1 Narval system running on 7+ nodes
- 1 disk server

We are taking and analyzing data in real time (preprocessing,
PSA, event builder, tracking) at 1.5 kHz per crystal and
writing the original traces (at 3GB/min) for later replay.

The system is managed by several "alpha" and "lambda" colleagues ;
during the night shifts the system is run by just two lucky young
colleagues. There are still some problems to solve, as you may imagine,
but we are on the good way.

On behalf of the whole community I would like to thank all of the
colleagues who contributed to this success. I am positive that all
of you are eager to hear more details during specific presentations
at the AGATA Week in Cologne. See you there !

Ciao, Enrico
