Ion Beam Techniques for Materials Research at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Mardi 21 avril 2009, à 15h00

This presentation will give a brief introduction of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and the Environmental Molecular Science Laboratory (EMSL), a user facility funded by the Department of Energy that is located at PNNL. The ion accelerator lab is part of the EMSL user facility. After a short description of the accelerator capabilities and standard ion beam analysis techniques, the talk will focus on the newly developed single ion technique and ion-induced luminescence technique for materials research.
